In 2004, the Choir will realise a long standing ambition when they visit New York for the St Patricks Day Festival. A party of 100 comprising choir members, relatives and friends will fly form Shannon Airport on March 12th, arriving at JFK at 18.00 local time. They will be staying at the Pan American Hotel in Queens for the duration of the trip. The schedule while in New York is as follows: Saturday March 13th - The Choir will sing at 5.30 pm Mass at St Patricks Cathedral. Following this they will give a short recital at the annual Corkman’s Association Dinner . Sunday 14th - The Choir will be performing in a concert at the Irish American Centre in Mineola in aid of the victims of the 9/11 disaster. Monday 15th - We will be participating in a concert at the Terence Crowley School in Queens in aid of local charities. Tuesday 16th - Sing at 7.00 pm Mass at St Adalberts Church in Queens. Wednesday 17th - Choir members will be walking under the Corkmans Association banner in the St Patricks Day Parade on 5th Avenue. Tursday 18th - Reception at the Cork Lounge, Greenwood and Bradley Friday 19th - Free Day Saturday 20th - Return home from JFK |
