If you did not get a card reader with your camera
get one now. It's the fastest and easiest way of transferring images to
your PC and which will also save your camera's batteries while you transfer
your images. But make sure that you get the right card reader to match
your card.
After you install a card reader it will appear
as a removal drive in My Computer menu. Then just insert the card and
Double Click on the Removal Drive icon. You will normally see one or two
more folders, just open these folders until you find your images. Now
just select all the images and move them to where you want to on the PC,
normally My Pictures Folder. But you should make new folders in My Picture's
folder and name the accordingly.
(e.g. Photos Xmas 2002, Birthday party Nov 01 etc.)
How move
the images.
|

First go to Edit and select all the images from the card.
|

Then go to Edit and Cut. Or right click on one of the images and
Cut.
|

Now open the folder as to where you want to save the images and
go to file and Paste.
|
The images should now be moved from your
Card to your PC.
If you are worried about losing the images
on transfer, you can always Copy the images rather than cut them.
Then when you are sure that you have them on your PC, just go
back to your card and delete them.
