The second Cruinniú na bhFliúit will take place in Baile Bhuirne/Cúil Aodha from the 27th to the 29th of March 2008. We’re sticking largely to the same format as in 2006, with classes, lectures, seminar, film, sessions, and a final concert.

There are 40 places available in the classes, and you can book a place beginning on Monday 14th January, by sending a 50%deposit of €75.

Places will be filled on a first come first served basis. As with the first Cruinniú, we have four teachers, and we’ve kept two from 2006, Harry Bradley, and Jean Michel Veillon, and are introducing Catherine McEvoy and Tara Diamond. There are four rotating classes, so that all students are taught by each teacher.

At Cruinniú na bhFliúit, classes are not organised along beginner/intermediate/advanced lines, but in order to gain full benefit from the classes, participants should be at the stage where they are familiar with basic technique and are seeking to expand their experience of performance.
