In Cheektowaga township in 1840, we see George Zurbrick Sr. livingnext door to George Zurbrick Jr. They are 2 doors away from Phil."BURKHOLDER" who is probably a BURKHALTER that is related to Mrs.George Zurbrick Sr.

This George (Jr.) was found on the 1870 Lancaster census with wifeMary. - George was 54 (b. abt 1815 or 1816) and Mary was 51 (b. abt1818 or 1819). They had children John and Lucy Ann in the householdin 1870. George and Mary were found in the Lancaster cem. buried withdaughter Lucy & her husband Fred Walters.
[1464] Census says born in France, so this was probably the Alsace-Lorrainearea (more German-speaking) that most of the Zurbricks came from.
[1465] Burial in Lancaster Rural Cemetery, Lancaster, NY. Burial recordsays he was age 60, implying an 1814 birthdate.
