- John MEEKS purchased 425acres of land via forfeiture in CanopusHollow, 1791; also purchased 55acres on Croft Iron mine from AbrahamBaker. In his will, some of this land went to his grandson, JamesMEEKS.
The Index of early Reformed Dutch Church records shows MEEKS baptismsat the RDC Philipstown in 1711 and 1712. (That's all it says.)
