Canonisation of Saint Charles
Sunday
3rd June 2007
Thanksgiving
Mass in Mount Argus
at
3.00 p.m.
It
rained in Rome for the canonisation in the morning and in the afternoon
in Mount Argus it rained as well. At five to three the doors of the
Church were closed as every seat was taken. Unfortunately many were
left outside who retired to the Saint Charles Centre.
The
Chief Celebrant of the Mass was Bishop Raymond Field D.D., Auxiliary
Bishop of Dublin. Fr. Frank Keevins C.P preached and Bishop Joseph Duffy
D.D., Bishop of Clogher, presided on the Sanctuary. At the end of the
Mass Bishop Duffy blest the renovated Shrine of Saint Charles.
