For
the past number of years the children in fifth and sixth
class have participated in a book quiz in April and
May organised by Mrs Comerford. The idea was so successful
that the teachers decided to run an autumn book quiz
as well. The children in the classes are divided into
groups and each group is assigned four books to read.
The children are given 6 weeks to read the books and
then they are put into teams to contest a quiz on the
books. The teams really enjoy the quiz and the result
is often in doubt up to the final round.The quiz fosters
a great interest in reading among the classes. Fourth
class also hold a book quiz in March and again it is
a very successful event. Below are some of the books
