Above is a photo of Easkey Castle near where I live. Easkey is one of foremost surfing spots in Ireland. The castle can be a good spot for a bonfire and a few drinks after the pubs in the village close, on the mild summer nights. The Erne River is one of the few hydro-electric power sources in the north west, supposedly an entire village was flooded behind the dam during construction. Historically it is known for Red Hugh O'Donnell's defeat of the English in 1597. A small spring on Bundoran beach, just thought it was unusual. Bundoran is a seaside resort in the North West of Ireland, its like a mini Las Vegas with its many arcades. There is a good night life and plenty to do during the day too.

Easkey is situated about 4 miles from home, it is best known for its waves and for fresh water salmon fishing. It's a good spot to have a relaxing weekend, or enjoy the craic in the local pubs. There's a nice walkway along the river, leading down to the sea front

Fairy Bridge
If you're in Bundoran and out for a walk around Rougey, keep an eye out for the "fairy bridges", (this is what the local people call them). There are a few bridge like formations along the cliffs, on Tullan Strand side of the walk.
