Enniscrone is a small holiday village in Co. Sligo, known for it's lengthy beach and sea weed baths. This photo was taken in late September, the reason why there are not many on the beach |
Pullaheeney |
Pullaheeney is located between Enniscrone and Easkey, Co Sligo. It is a good location to pick winkles or limpets. This photo is of an area known locally as the "Long Rock". This "spit" is only visible when the tide is out and is a rich source of dillisk, corrigeen and shellfish. It is a nice walk out to the end, but if you do want to go out be careful, as a local about tide times, cause the sea fills the middle of the rock first rather than the end so you could become marooned. |
Bunduff |
Bunduff Waterfall is located on the Sligo-Leitrim border. I am told half lies each county. The falls are close to the mouth of the river. This area seems to be a favourite spot for angling, if you look at the sign it say's a max of 3 fish, doubt anyone heeds that notice!. This photo was taken from the Leitrim side of the river. |

One of the last days of 2000, taken on St Stephen's day, 26/12/2000. Just around the time I surfaced (late in the evening) after a busy Christmas day. Still suffering the effects of a hangover, I braved outside, "just like a hedgehog in spring, in fear of seeing it's shadow". Well I was more afraid to look in the mirror! But the results were good, on my way home from a walk I captured this sunset. Very bright and disturbing to a person with a hangover, but nice to look back on. |
