Doonbeg Golf Course

Greg Norman's links course in Doonbeg opened for play to rave reviews and a packed crowd in July 2002.  Norman, a two-time winner of the British Open, says it's "the best site I've seen anywhere in the world. It's the best piece of property I've ever worked on and I'd love to see a major tournament staged here. That will be the real test and I have no doubts but that this course could host such an event," he said.

Norman has told many of the world's top golfers about Doonbeg. "I tell everybody about this course. I tell them that I've got the best site and it's in Doonbeg.” he said.

The site at Doonbeg takes in almost four hundred acres and stretches for a mile and half around a crescent-shaped beach. The ocean can be seen from every hole on the course.
