Leak Detection

     When one considers the maintenance of the distribution network and the cost of production (collection and treatment), it becomes clear that water is a valuable resouce and one which should be contained as much as practical throughout the system. Most pipelines have a design lifespan of 25-35 years and will eventually begin to leak. These leaks will occur at poor construction joints, corrosion points and will result in small structural cracks.

     Increases in the demand for water have heightened the awareness for it's conservation and to that end leak detection is becoming an important element to local authority water provision. Lenmar now include leak detection as a compliment to the utility mapping and surveying services.
