Rocks and the Zodiac

For thousands of years certain rocks and minerals, precious and semi precious have been associated with the different signs of the zodiac and heavenly bodies.

As the wheel of twelve or sometimes thirteen signs changed so too did the associations. Some have stood the test of time and remained fairly constant, Scorpio is always connected to Garnets, Taurus to Emeralds for example. Others changed over time and different cultures and nowadays it can be quite confusing to know exactly which is your 'birthstone'. Recently anyone making any type of jewellery seems to assign different gems or even bits of coloured glass to different months or signs in a random fashion , often merely to complement their product range.

The associations I have given here reflect years of research and meditation on the link between the vibrations of the stones and the intrinsic qualities of the signs. However this can only act as a guide and when choosing a rock for your own personal use, find one you are drawn to rather than one just linked to your sun sign, after all each of have the energies of all twelve signs within us.
