Web text is a very useful tool for busy managers, enabling them to notify players or their parents of matches, cancellations or training sessions. It's a free service provided by the three mobile operators in Ireland to anyone who has a mobile phone (including prepaid phones). After you register on the web site (usually requiring your name, address and telephone number) you are entitled to up to 300 free texts a month. You can set up an online phonebook and group entries together so that you need only type one text message to get it to a large number of contacts.
