Boys' Comprehensive School - Ballymun

 

The school has served the Ballymun community for three decades.  It caters for boys from the time they leave primary school until the they complete the Junior Certificate, roughly twelve to sixteen years of age.  The aim of the school is to provide a quality education in an atmosphere which is sensitive to the needs of individual boys.

The school is funded by the Department of Educational Science and is managed by a Board of Management.  The day-to day running of the school is in the hands of the principal and deputy principal.  There are twenty seven teachers and a pastoral care system run by the Year Heads and Class Tutors.  In addition the school has at its disposal the services of:

  • A Chaplain
  • A Guidance Counsellor
  • A Home School/Community Liaison Teacher
  • Four Remedially Trained Teachers
  • A School Welfare Officer
  • A Nurse
