Junior
Certificate |
|
At
the end of Third Year all students sit the Department of Education Junior Certificate
Examination. This is the first state examination for students. It is very
important because: |
|
|
- It is the gateway to further education - to the
Leaving Certificate and on to College
- It is the key qualification for many jobs -
especially in the area of apprenticeships
- It gives students a sense of reward and achievement
at the end of their compulsory time in school
|
|
|
The
Junior Certificate is a flexible examination which can be taken in many subjects and at
many levels. It is our job to make sure that each student sits the examination at
the best level for his own abilities |
