Boys' Comprehensive School - Ballymun

This year, for the first time ever, the school has established links with top Dublin Basketball Club, Denny Notre Dame.   Thanks to sponsorship from the Royal Dublin Society Committee for Science and Technology we have employed some of Denny Notre Dame's top players - Calvin Morris, Anthony Jenkins and presently Lennie McMillan to provide expert coaching.  We now have two teams in school - a first year team run by Fr. Tony Coote and Ms Fitzpatrick and an U-16 team  run by Mr O'Reilly from the senior school. 
All first year boys are having a 7 - week coaching module.

October 23rd
Derek Mahoney, Danny Saunders and Stephen O'Connor have been selected to play for the U-16 team which is mainlymade up of players from the senior school.

January 14th
The U 14 Basketball team had their first competitive match to day.  The match was a very close one. 
The team played really well in losing  9  -  8 against St Michael's

January 26th
The U 14 team lost to Tallaght to day.  Tallaght put out a team made up of some very tall players who overcame a very enthusiastic but inexperienced Ballymun team.
