Boys' Comprehensive School - Ballymun

Under the Managership of Ms. Flynn and Mr. Platt, the school soccer teams have done very well during the 1998/99 season.

          September 1998:

  • (U 15)  Ballymun Comp. 7     Dundalk 1   
    Scorers were Chris Rogers (3),  Elliot Morgan (2),   Keith Boyle and Anthony McManus.  Clive Ross got Man of the Match

    October 1998

    (U 13)  Ballymun 3    Cabinteely 2
    The score was 1 - 1 at half time and Cabinteely went into the lead early in the second half.  Ballymun equalized, and scored the winner in the dying moments of the game.
    Scorers were: James Kelly,  James Mahoney and Darren Tyrell

    (U 15)  St. Brendans 5     Ballymun 4   
    Ballymun started as favourites but were beaten by St. Brendans after extra time.   Chris Rogers, Alan Kinsella, Clive Ross (captain) and Elliot Morgan put on superb displays.  This result put our U 15 team out of the All Ireland Cup.

    November

    (U 14)   Ballymun 11    Hartstown 0
    A record score-line achieved by Ballymun as we romped to an eleven nil victory.   Keith Boyle produced a memorable performance scoring a record seven goals.   Alan Kinsella and Clive Ross were simply sensational with 'Kino' scoring one of the goals of the season.  The team is comong together well and we are looking forward to the next match.

    February 1999

    (U 14)   St Marks 2    Ballymun 5
    A hat-trick by Geoff Conway and goals by Chris Byrne and Christopher Deans has braught Ballymun to the final of the Dublin Championship
