Paddy is a native of Tubber, Co. Clare. He attended Tubber N. S., Our Lady's College, Gort and Mary Immaculate Training College, Limerick. He taught for 3 years in Tullamore Co. Offaly, before being appointed to Barefield N. S. in 1984.
As a former Chairman of both the Clare Primary Schools Hurling and Camogie Boards, Paddy is comprehensively involved with the funding and development of P. E. and in the training of teams within the school. He has maintained valued community links as manager of St. Joseph's U-12 and U-10 hurling teams.Paddy is a recently appointed special duties teacher. He has a special involvement in the design of whole school policy documents in the areas of English, Local Environment and Physical Education. A highlight was the production of a forty five minute video, chronicling the history and development of the school.
Paddy continues to produce comprehensive books in the areas of creative writing, poetry, computer designed monthly magazines, local industry and the environment. Projects which create links with the business community are viewed as important and recent achievements include the funding of up to date computers / printer and school involvement in Shannon Expo '97. Paddy has special responsibilities in the area of Science.
