Cruinniú na mBád
Kinvara was once a thriving port. In the 19th century traditional Connemara sailing crafts would fill Kinvara Bay laden with turf and other essentials. The Cruinniú na mBád summer sea festival is organised by the village to recall this trade and sees the old 'Galway Hookers' compete in thrilling races and events.

Fleadh ná gCuach
(The Cuckoo Flead), also in Kinvara, is a traditional music festival held on the first Bank Holiday in May.

There is a medieval type festival in Athenry each summer.

Clarinbridge Oyster Festival
in September is held out in the open.

in Miltown Malbay brings the masters of Irish music to share their expertise.

The Fleadh Nua
in Ennis and festivals in Ennistymon, Feakle, Tulla, Kilmihil and Killaloe showcase the deep-rooted music traditions of the County. This festival commemorates one of the traditional Irish Uilleann Pipers and takes the form of workshops, lectures and traditional Irish music sessions.

The Pan Celtic Festival
takes place in Ennis April 1st- 6th.
