Purpose of this website

This resource is aimed at the Irish Junior Certificate Business Studies Course.  Its purpose is to encourage students and teachers to use the internet as a learning tool which can be integrated into the curriculum.

Relevance

Personal Insurance is included in the Business of Living section of the Junior Certificate Business Studies syllabus.  By the end of this lesson students should understand what insurance is; the various kinds of personal insurance, the Principles of Insurance, the difference between insurable and non-insurable risks.  They should also understand what the various people employed in the insurance industry do.  Documents such as Proposal Form, Policy and Claim Form are also explained.
