Green Flag Awarded to Caragh N.S.

Our school has been awarded the green flag from An Taisce and we received it last Tuesday the 21st of May 2002 in Trinity College. This is a great achievement for the school as it was the 5th school in Kildare to be granted the flag for environmental awareness and waste management.

The photographs below were taken at the Green Flag Awards Cermony in Trinity College, Dublin.

Caragh School pupils enjoy Ireland World Cup Match

There was plenty of excitement with all the classes as everyone indulged in the World Cup festivities at Caragh N.S.

Time was taken off class to watch the very important group E clash between Ireland and Germany in the second game of the group on Tuesday June 6th 2002.

Pupils dressed up in Green, White & gold, some had faces painted, others brought in inflated hammers and flags and wore funny hats and wigs.

A wonderful and memorable time was had by pupils and teachers alike, especially after a very late "Robbie Keane" goal against Germany that earned us a 1-1 draw and helped book us a place in the last sixteen of the World Cup Finals.

The picture below captures some of the euphoria felt by everyone.
