History of the Course

The NCVA Business Studies-Secretarial Course has been in the school since September 1994.
In 1998, this was changed to a Business Studies course in order to facilatate the changing needs
of employers e.g. payroll skills and computer skills. At present there are eighteen students in the
group(sixteen female and two male).

School Facilities

Purpose built typewriting room with thirty typewriters and also computer facilities
Audio Typewriting console with thirty headsets
Fully equipped computer room with twenty eight computers
Scanner, Internet and e-mail connection available for consultation
Book rental scheme for all course books
Transport on school bus system
Career Guidance Counsellor available

Costs

The FETAC examination fees are €30. These fees may be refundable if the student is a medical card holder. Other fees include a €25 course deposit, costs of school trips and entry to other examinations, Pitman, R.S.A. etc.
Grants for attendance at course may be applied for at Roscommon VEC offices. To Top of Page
