It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Sarsfields Gaa club. The Sarsfields Gaa club represents the parish of New Inn/Bullaun The aim of this Website is to facilitate communication between the club and its members as well as all other interested parties.

The Sarsfields GAA Club represents th
e parish of New Inn / Bullaun in East Galway. Founded in 1966 the club has 6 Galway senior and Connacht club titles and has the distinction of being the first club to capture back to back All-Ireland club titles in 1993 and 1994.

The club's achievements are quite remarkable given its small population base. Presently, we field 4 adult teams: senior, intermediate, junior A and junior C. The success of the club is based on a vibrant under age structure with many of our senior players managing and coaching their young charges.
Finance is a big constraint, and we thank our main sponsor, Joe McGrath of Joe McGrath Construction. The hard working club finance committee organise an annual race night as well as our weekly club lotto. If you wish to play lotto with us this website offers you an opportunity to do so. A recent addition to the club is the Sarsfields Supporters Club, which runs a successful Golf Am Am in Loughrea Golf Club during the first week of July.

In 2003 the launch of our club history
“For the pride of the parish” took place. The book is compiled by David McGann and was launched by RTE Commentator Micheal O’ Muircheartaigh. This hugely impressive history does credit to all of Sarsfields achievements over the years. It was a source of great pride to us all when it scooped the coveted “McNamee Award” for the best club history in 2003, further testament to this excellent production- a must read for all GAA followers.

I hope you enjoy browsing through our website and if you wish to contact us on any matter feel free to email us at info@sarsfields-gaa.com.

The club officers are indebted to local man Cathal McGuinness for creating and updating this website.

Yours in Sport
Michael Cooney
Club Chairman.
