Men's 2nd XI

Institute 2nds are currently enjoying one of the most successful periods in their history.

Having been relegated from Div 2 in Season 2002-03 the team regrouped in Div 3 with the aim of rebuilding and focusing on team development.

The Team subsequently underwent an entire season unbeaten to claim a League and Divisional (Barber) Cup Double.

The Team Captained by Garry Mc Cormack and aided in no small part by Vice Captain and brother Ken Mc Cormack and at least 10 other Captains on the day then went on to Div 2 in Season 2004-05 where they shocked not only opposing clubs but many within their own by clinching the League Title in Garryduff on the last day of the season in a winner take all clash with Cork C of I to make it 2 League titles in a row.

Having narrowly lost a Mc Lean Cup Final in extra time to Galway a week previously this win saw Institute claim their 3rd trophy in 2 seasons and sees the team with a mixture of youth and experience perfectly set for the defence of their title in season 2005-2006
