Ennis is the capital of Clare. The population is 20,852. Eire Òg and the Banner are the two G.A.A. teams from Ennis. The main statues in Ennis are O'Connell Statue, Icarus statue, Maid of Éireann and the Eamon De Valera statue outside the Courthouse. The main streets in Ennis are Parnell street, O'Connell street, Abbey street and Francis street. The main G.A.A. pitch in Ennis is Cusack Park.

Some of the streets in Ennis are in connection to historic names. Ennis won the tidy towns competition. There is a lot of improvement in roads and roundabouts have been added in Ennis too.

The name Ennis comes from Inis Cluain Ramh Fhada, the island of the meadow of the long rowing. Ennis is the capital town of county Clare. In 1832 a cholera epidemic swept over Ennis. Then of course there was the great hunger. Over a ten year period the town of Ennis lost one in every eight citizens. Between 1841 and 1861 Ennis lost 120,000 citizens due to famine, fever and emigration. The population fell from 9,318 in 1841 to 8,623 in 1851 and to 7,041 in 1816.

Dylan
If you want to have fun in Phoenix, Arizona, I suggest you hang out with Dylan for a while. From dressing up like Quail Man from the television show Doug to just goofing around, Dylan, along with his three brothers, knows how to have fun, This "movie freak" can be found most weekends and holidays at a local movie theater. With stadium seating and an action packed movie, Dylan can be easily entertained for hours. Although cheeseburgers and Coca Cola are his favorites to munch on, if he were to be taken to a deserted island, instead of his favorite foods, he's taking a boat. Leave it to Dylan to try to figure out a way to get back home! Somehow though, I don't think this adventurous fifth grader would be leaving the island too soon.
Zach
Zach, ten, has a very interesting family. He has a nephew that's fifteen and a sophomore in high school. Zach_s ancestors are from Scotland, so, he is part Scottish. As an only child, Zach_s favorite food is spaghetti and his favorite drink is orange juice. He loves it when his parents take him to Roosevelt Lake so he can fish. Now didn't I tell you Zach was interesting?!!
Ben
Ben is a special person. If he went to a deserted island he would bring his baseball cards. He would bring them because he loves baseball. When he is not doing anything, Ben looks at his cards or watches a baseball game on T.V. He also goes to a batting cage or a baseball game at the Bank One Ball Park. Ben's earliest childhood memory is when he lived in an apartment where his brother would constantly throw toys at him; it would become a funny game. Ben's favorite food is pizza and his favorite drink is milk. Ben is really a special person!
Rachel
Rachel is the average American girl. Her funniest moment in her life is when she got stuck on the monkey bars; everybody was laughing at her. Her favorite thing to eat is pizza and her favorite drink is Dr. Pepper. Her dad is from Tucson and her mom is from Wisconsin. Her favorite place to go with her friends in Phoenix is Lake Pleasant. There she likes to tube and ride in her friend's boat. Rachel likes to go swimming, read, and ride horses. Rachel is the average American girl.
NICO
Nico_s very unique since both of his parents work in the education field. His dad is a principal and his mom, a teacher. Nico_s earliest memory was when he found a steak knife, poked himself in the eye, and had to get a patch on it. Ouch!! His funniest moment was when he learned to wiggle his nose. You should see him, it's hilarious!! He would take books to a deserted island because he loves reading. He's a bookworm! Nico has lots of ancestors from Germany, China, Mexico and some were even Native American. As you can see, Nico is very interesting!
Rachael
Rachael is a ten year old girl who goes to school at Madison Meadows. When she was five, she climbed up on her dad's back, fell off, and broke her arm. If she went to a deserted island she would take her teddy bear with her because her dad gave it to her when she moved to Chicago; that makes it extra special. Something unique about Rachael_s family is that her dad works at a local radio station. Her dad's station is her favorite place to go. She has two sisters and one brother. Her favorite subject in school is Language Arts. It was fun interviewing Rachael.
Taylor
Taylor might have one of the funniest moments from his past. While sitting in preschool eating spaghetti, a kid at his table had a piece of spaghetti come out of her nose. He laughs just telling me about it. Never the less, his favorite food is spaghetti and his favorite drink is milk. His ancestors are from England and Germany. He has a very unique family; they have all worked for the government. His favorite place to go in Phoenix is the Phoenix Science Center because he likes to do the fun activities. Now isn't Taylor a pretty interesting guy?

I interviewed a unique person. Chris. She is unique because her ancestors are from France and Germany! Chris has one older sister and one older brother. She and her best friend, Karen, have been friends for two years. Her favorite food is spaghetti and her favorite drink is lemonade. She loves to go to Castles 'N_ Costars! Castles _N Coasters is a local amusement park . Her funniest moment in the past was when her sister threw up on her dad while he was sitting in his chair . Now wouldn't you like to meet Chris?
Darin
Darin is a very interesting 5th grader. His earliest childhood memory is when he found out Santa Claus wasn't real. He felt disappointed. A funny moment from the past is: when he saw video of himself as a little kid. His favorite food and drink are: buffalo wings and Fierce Lime Gatorade. His ancestor are from France. His family is unique because they all like to read. His favorite place to go in Phoenix is an Arizona Thunder game. The Arizona Thunder is a professional indoor soccer team. If Darin were going to an island and he could only bring one thing, he would bring a soccer ball because he likes soccer. I learned that Darin is a very interesting person.
Ridge
Ridge is the kind of guy who never turns down the chance to go to a party. He is eleven years old and goes to Madison Meadows school. A funny memory from his past was when in public, his mother asked his two year old sister how old she was and she said "wa " really loud. Another funny moment was when a bee flew in the house and everybody screamed real loud. Ridge loves to eat his Dad's sandwiches for breakfast, along with milk He likes going to Flagstaff with his parents to play in the snow, and sometimes ski. He has been in many accidents, but has survived them all. If he were on a deserted island, he would take his dog with him to have company. He is very exciting and fun to be around.
Taylor
Taylor is 11 years old and is very interesting person. I say this, because he laughs at the face of danger. Taylor's earliest child memory is when he put extra double sided tape in his friend's hair. His funniest memory is when he left his watch at a skating rank and came back two days later and it was still their. Taylor's favorite type of food is Chinese food and His favorite drink is milk. Taylor's ancestors come from The Check Republic. Taylor's family is unique in many ways, one of the is
they are athletic. Taylor's favorite place to go in Phoenix is Game Works, Game Works is a place where you go to play video games. It is a lot of fun. If Taylor could only take one thing to a deserted island, it would be his Game Boy, a Game Boy is a type of hand held video system. Taylor is cool guy.
Beth
Beth is an unique and exciting person. In fact she and her family are so unique that on special occasions, they put spoons on their eyes and pass a napkin hat around a circle of family members. Her earliest childhood memory is her first day of preschool. Her mom left and she was sad the entire day. Her funniest childhood memory is when she was in preschool and they played "weddings". It was very funny. Well, as you can see, Beth is a very unique person indeed.
Mack
Who knew Eric, a ten year old boy in the 5th grade, would start his athletic career racing his older brother Ian down the halls when he was only 5? Eric, who goes by Mack, is very athletic. No wonder, he comes from a very athletic family. For example, his dad was the Arizona State champion for wrestling twice, and Arizona State champion for football and basketball too. Mack now plays every sport RAMMS, the local sports league offers. Mack's favorite thing to do, besides sports that is, is to go to the Esplanade Movie Theater to watch movies. His favorite movie is Me, Myself, and Irene. After the movies, he likes to eat a dinner of spaghetti and have a Shirley Temple to finish it off. Mack is both Yugoslavian and English. If he were to travel off the coast to a deserted island, he would take a genie in a bottle to wish for anything else he needed. Overall, Mack is a very interesting person.
Amanda
Amanda is a very interesting and athletic person. She is 10 years old and likes to think of her earliest memory, learning how to swim in her backyard pool. One of her funniest moments from her past is when she had Mrs. Long, a Madison Simis school fourth grade teacher, as a teacher. When Amanda eats lunch or dinner, she likes to eat pizza and drink Gatorade. Most of her ancestors are from Ohio, in fact both her mom and dad are from Ohio. Amanda's favorite place to go is Sedona, a rocky land form. If she were stuck on a deserted island, she would take her brother because he is fun to play with. Amanda is a very neat person and if you ever meet her in person say hello.
Lauren
Lauren's family has a history of helping people with one of the biggest problems facing Americans today, their health. This came in handy once when she was goofing around on her dad's shoulders when suddenly, her head smacked the ceiling fan and she got a giant bump on her head. Lauren, a fifth grade student at Madison Meadows School, will one day decide if she will follow in her family's footsteps or not. In fact, if she was sent to a deserted island, she would bring books with her since she likes to read and wants to stay smart. Here in Phoenix, Lauren's favorite place just happens to be Waterworld, a giant water park with tons of slides, a wave pool, and most everything you could want in a water park. Who knows, maybe one day Lauren will grow up to be a doctor in the Coast Guard.
Erica
Erica is a very interesting person at Madison Meadows. she is ten years old. Whenever she thinks of her childhood she thinks of Hawaii because she had a lot of fun and she met Mary-Kate and Ashley. A couple years ago she was quite embarrassed when at a fair with a bunch of people, she walked up behind a lady who she thought was her mother [but it really wasn't] and she said, "Hi Mom!" Her favorite food and drink are sprite and pizza. She has lots of relatives from California and is Jewish. She enjoys going to Castles and Coasters. If she where on a deserted island, she would bring her dog with her because it would keep her company. I'm glad I met Erica.
Brendan
If you're looking for Brendan, you would probably find him at a local paint ball arena called Battle Zone, his favorite place to go in Phoenix. He loves to paint ball. One of Brendan's funniest moments is when he went to a birthday party. One girl named Megan had been invited. All at the same time the all the boys shot her with their paint ball guns. The boys laughed and laughed but Megan was very mad. Brendan is 11 years old and his birthday is in August. His favorite food is spaghetti and his favorite drink is Pepsi. Brendan's favorite subject is Language Arts. If Brendan were stranded on a deserted island and could only take one thing with him, he would take a boat. He would take a boat with him so when he got there, he could leave. That's why I think Brendan is a unique person.
Annie
Meet Annie, an intelligent and interesting person. Annie's family isn't your ordinary everyday family. They are very unique because Annie's parents are both ministers. Her dad is the minister at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, and her mom is a temporary minister at Christ Presbyterian Church. Annie goes to church at least once a week, even if she is sick! She definitely lives an interesting life.
Erin
Erin is a very smart 10 year old. Her favorite meal is sushi and homemade root beer but she really likes the rice from Yoshies. Her family is unique because they raise foster children. One time when she was little she got stuck in the mud! Her sister and cousin had to pull her out! Her mom is from Boston and her dad is from Arizona, my mom is also from Boston and my dad is from Arizona! Erin's favorite place to go is Scottsdale Fashion Square, I also like going there. If she took any thing to a deserted island she would take a speed boat or her mom. That is my interview on Erin.
Trevor
Trevor is 10 years old and has a really cool life. When Trevor was 4 years old Russian exchange students came to his house. He and the exchange students went to Tucson and had pizza and Pepsi (which happens to be Trevor's favorite thing to eat and drink) at a pizza parlor. Trevor's family thinks that one of their ancestors was the king of Ireland. His favorite place to go in Phoenix is the skate park called Wasp. That's why I think Trevor has a really cool life.
Zach
Zach is the typical 5th grader. He is 10 years old. Zach has two younger siblings. He enjoys eating blueberries and drinking Dr. Pepper. He likes to going to Baskin Robins. Baskin Robins is an ice cream shop in Phoenix. His favorite kind of ice cream is blueberry. If he were on a deserted island he would bring his scooter to entertain himself. Zach goes to Madison Meadows. He plays the Alto Saxophone and he definitely likes sports. He plays baseball, basketball, football, and track. As I told you, Zach is the typical 5th grader.
Sheryl
Sheryl is a unique person. If she were to go on a deserted island , she would bring her blanket. She'd bring it because it's been her most prized possession since she was born. Her ancestors are from Russia, Germany, and Poland. Sheryl_s favorite place to go in Phoenix is Fashion Square Mall , a shopping center. A funny moment from her past is when she and her mom accidentally went into the men's locker room at a local gym . Her favorite food is pizza and her favorite drink is water. Sheryl is one of a kind and is very interesting.
Alyssa
How many people do you know have mice for pets? Well, Alyssa, a Madison Meadows_ fifth grader does; she has two, Pepper and Patches. Besides these two unique pets, Alyssa also has a dog Cassie whom she loves very much. In fact, if deserted on an island, Alyssa would want Cassie to be there to keep her company.
When she's not playing with Cassie or her mice, Alyssa can be found at the Phoenix Country Club where she loves to stay active. Playing tennis, swimming, or even getting in a round of golf are some of her favorite activities. Along with her family, she's quite the athlete.
Family is extremely important to Alyssa. One of her earliest and best memories was when her brother was born; she was only 2 1/2 years old, but she remembers how it felt to hold him for the first time. So, as you can clearly see, Alyssa is a well rounded Meadows_ fifth grader.
Matt
Have you ever found something and wanted to keep it? Well, Matt, a fifth grade student did just that. When he was younger, he found a cat outside in the rain and decided to keep it and is still with him today. With its ability to kill harmful insects, Matt would like to take his cat with him if he were ever stranded on an island; that way he'd be safe. Unfortunately for Matt, deserted islands don't have his favorite food and drink, hamburgers and soda. Being alone isn't something Matt really enjoys, in fact he's quite happy sitting in front of the TV with his family, watching a video from Blockbuster, a local video rental store. Matt, is one of Meadows_ active young men.
Ryan
Ryan is a very cool ten year old. His earliest childhood memory was first day at Simis Elementary School. As he recalls, he was very nervous. A funny moment from his past was when he was playing football in the rain and slipped; everyone had a big laugh. The unique thing about Ryan's family is that they're all good at baking cookies. His ancestors come from Germany and England. Ryan's favorite food and drink are cheese pizza and Dr. Pepper. His favorite place to go in Phoenix is the Bank One Ball Park where he likes to watch the baseball players hit home runs. If he could take one thing to a deserted island he would take some wood and tools so he could build a house or transportation to get home. It was fun interviewing Ryan.
Stephen
A party at Stephen's house is definitely one to remember.......
Stephen is very unique, and obviously likes to be the life of the party, where everyone except Stephen's mother, eats moths for a good party trick. A funny moment from his past is when he drank out of an indoor toilet to get into a club.
Stephen's earliest childhood memory is when he had his third thumb removed. His favorite place in Phoenix is Lake Pleasant. Stephen's favorite food is sushi, and is favorite drink is a soda called Mountain Dew. He likes to play baseball and collects baseball cards. As you can see, Stephen leads a very interesting life and is a very unique fifth grader.
Lauren &nbs Lauren is a very interesting 10 year old and she is in the 5th grade at Madison Meadows. She likes Dr. Pepper and she also likes salad. Her ancestors are from form Ireland. She goes to the lake every weekend with her family and their boat, and goes to lake Pleasant and goes out on the lake in their boat. Her favorite place in Phoenix is Big Surf. It is a water park with tons of slides and a giant wave pool. If she could take one thing to a deserted island she would take her family, so she would have someone she knows to keep her company. Lauren is a very interesting student in the fifth grade.
Cody
Cody is an average 11 year old boy . His earliest memory was when he played video games for the first time and beat him. With his dad. The funniest moment of his past is when he ran around his house butt naked , his cousins were over. His favorite food is Chinese food and his favorite drink is Mountain Dew. His ancestors/grandparents were from England. His family is unique because they are creative and very kind to people. Cody_s favorite place to go in Phoenix is the America West Arena where he can watch sport events . If he went to a deserted island he would take a cell phone so he could call anyone for anything . Cody is an interesting American boy!
Alexi
Alexi an 11 year old student at Madison Meadows is an amazing athelete. When he was 3 he learned how to ski. one of his earliest memories was when he ate a spoonful of plain hot fudge. Alexi_s favorite food is sea bass fradiavlo with marinara sauce with Pepsi cola. Alexi_s and his parents and grandparents are from Greece. Alexi has a very unique last name. Alexi_s favorite place to go in Phoenix is game Works. If Alexi could take one thing to the desert it would be a lab top so he could ask lycos to get anything for him. Alexi is very interesting person, I liked interviewing him!
