Founded in 1990, we have just finished our 14th season in the Amateur Football League. Our crowning glory, and still our only silverware to date came in Season 2000/2001 when we were crowned Division 3 (Sunday) Champions after a fantastic season. We can also boast to reaching the semi finals of the Harding Cup three seasons in a row. Unfortunately we are still waiting for our first final appearance. I will try to keep the Site as up to date as I can, so please come back and visit......... As always it is nice to get your thoughts on anything on or off the field in relation to The Villa. All comments or critisms welcome. E-mail them to thedoc7@eircom.net. ------------------------------------------------- Our long hard season came to an end on 18th May. Our final game was against would be champions Darndale Athletic. Unfortunately, like so many other games we did not turn up and as a result were soundly beaten. We finished our campaign in 8th place, a massive 32 points behind the eventual winners. We had the 3rd lowest goals for record (27) and joint 4th worst goals against record (50). So all in all it was a most disappointing season. But the same old problems were in evidence throughout the season - I suppose some things are never going to change. Lets hope that there is a good turn out and maybe even a few new faces to shake the team up a bit. Here's looking at season 2004/05......
