General Introduction
Our Guiding Movement first started in Ireland in 1911. We are part of a world-wide
Movement which gives girls the opportunity for training in the development of character
and service to others. They learn to foster a love of country and a sense of citizenship.
They are encouraged to have international goodwill by having contact with girls of other
countries.
