The 60- member orchestra of Strings, Brass, Woodwind, Reed and Percussion is under the direction of Michael John Ryan, M.A. Dip C.S.M., Dip.F.A. who studied at The Cork School of Music, The Royal Danish Conservatory of Music,Copenhagen, The Kodaly Pedagogical Institute of Music, Kecskemet, Hungary and The University of Calgary, Canada.

His performance experience includes Symphony Orchestras, Chamber Groups,Theatre Orchestras and Ensembles, Bunratty Castle Entertainers, The Fantasia Recital Trio and The Dolmen String Quartet and conductor of St. Michael's Church Choir, Tipperary. He is a member of the teaching staff of the Limerick School of Music, a member of the National Executive of the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras and Director of The Ryan School of Music. I.A.M.S.

He teaches violin and viola at The Ryan School of Music and The Limerick Municipal School of Music. Michael has just completed an M.A. is Community Music at The University of Limerick. He is an active player on The Mid West music scene and has performed with many chamber ensembles and orchestras.
