Church of the Sacred Heart, Glounthaune, Co. Cork (1896)

The many families from the various parts of Ireland and elsewhere, who now share the beautiful church at Glounthaune, owe a substantial debt to the parishioners from the parish, village, and its environs, whose foresight and endeavour in the difficult times of the closing years of the 19th century, led the construction of the place of worship that we now share and one which ranks among the finest in the land.

Church of St. Mary, Knockraha, Co. Cork (1803)

Almost 200 years old, the present modern church was enlarged and renovated, revealing the old beauty of St. Mary's Church. This was done in 1982, under the supervision and guidance of the late Very Rev. Edward Fitzgerald P.P. of Glounthaune. The new modern building has retained many of the original features of the old church including the original stained glass windows, baptismal font, the bell, statues, etc

Church of St. Joseph, Little Island, Co. Cork (1982)

The Church of St. Joseph was opened and dedicated by Bishop Michael Murphy on 27th November, 1982. The day was fine and a packed church heard the Bishop refer to the people of the Island, who in olden times were faithful to the Mass even though many of them had to walk miles to get to the church in Glounthaune. The people of Little Island are very proud of their new church which is a simple building designed to seat around 350.
