The
Parish of Glounthaune, which includes the areas of Brooklodge, Glounthaune,
Little Island and Knockraha, together with parts of Glanmire is now one of
the fastest growing suburban parishes in Cork, with a population of close on
13,000 people. The indications are that this growth is set to continue for
some time to come.
