Occasionally, however, a position may become available to a new member in Cubs, Scouts or Ventures. In this situation we refer to application for membership forms which we have received and invite an applicant to join. We adhere to a policy that this applicant must not have been a member of the other local Scout or Guide groups for at least 12 months. This is to avoid "poaching" of members between troops.

    If you are moving into Cobh, and were a member of a different Scout troop in your previous locality, then we welcome you to join our troop when you arrive.
