The two schools in the parish are Terryglass N.S and Kilbarron N.S

Terryglass N.S.:

This is a two-teacher school with approx. 40 pupils enrolled at present. The teachers who are working there now are Ms. Noreen Sheridan (Principal) and Mrs. Ber Molamphy (my mother). The children of Terryglass play a major part in keeping the village tidy and Terryglass is very proud of winning the overall award in the Tidy Towns competition on two occasions. The school building was constructed in 1953 and is in need of considerable refurbishment which is about to be carried out in the near future.

Kilbarron N.S.:

Kilbarron N.S. is a three teacher school which was constructed in 1943. I go to Kilbarron.S. The three teachers in the school are   Mrs. Grace and Mrs.Brown. and Miss Scanlan. Our Principal, Mr. Dwyer, is on a career break at the moment. The attendance in the school is about 70. My best friends both play on the school football team. We have just installed a computer room in the school which has internet access (only on some computers) and all computers have some really cool programmes. We also have a good range of Educational/Fun software. There is also a scanner and two printers. We have good facilities in the school like a Basketball court and a Hurling and Football pitch.
