Slope
There are two formulas we can use to find the slope of a line.
Formula 1:
y = mx + c
m stands for the Slope
c is where the line cuts y-axis
If the equation of a line is given we can use this formula to find the slope. We just have to rearrange the equation to suit the formula.
Example:
Find the slope of the line L:4y - x = 13
y = mx+c | » write out the formula |

Formula 2:
This formula is used when we are given two points a(x1,y1) & b(x2,y2) and asked to find the slope.
Example:
Find the slope of a(-1,3) and b(7,5)
a(-1,3) b(7,5) | » write down values |
(x1,y1) (x2,y2) | of (x1,y1) & (x2,y2) |
