All proceeds from the Liam Lawton concert taking place on 27th March 2009 in the University Concert Hall in Limerick will go towards Children First, a national organisation that works with marginalised families in disadvantaged areas to break the cycle of deprivation.

Children First provides mentors to encourage and assist these extraordinary children. Through a holistic approach the organisation concentrates on the overall developmental growth of the child by focusing on education and social integration. Currently Children First has 20 children on the programme of which 7 children are from Moyross and South Hill.

There are another 5 children on the waiting list from Limerick. Children First is counting on the people of Limerick to support this concert because the proceeds will secure the placement of all 5 children onto the Graduate Programme for one year. This concert is about Limerick people helping Limerick children. Tickets can be purchased from the University Concert Hall Limerick www.uch.ie
