Ireland is a magical place to visit and is noted for its wonderful scenery, it’s castles and ancient monasteries and churches, its lovely cities and quaint towns and villages and its warm friendly people and of course its forty shades of green.

For a small country it has a great variety of breath-taking scenery. The green forests of Wicklow ,the flat Curragh of Kildare, famous for it’s race-horses and its Curragh race-course where the Irish Derby is run, the Shannon river ,flowing down through the centre of the country,

and the rugged Western sea-board stretching from Donegal down to Kerry and Cork.

Places like the famous Ring of Kerry or the Dingle peninsula, beautiful Connemara situated to the North-West of the mediaeval city of Galway known as the city if the Tribes.

Connemara was made famous in the John Wayne movie "The Quiet Man" .To the North-west we have lovely Donegal with its mountains and valleys and magnificent sea-views and a visit to the awesome Cliffs of Moher on the fringes of the Burren of County Clare is a must.

There is also Kinsale, known as the gourmet capitol of Ireland in county Cork, and of course the famous Blarney castle with it’s Blarney stone which bestows the "Gift of the Gab" on anybody who kisses it.

A must for many tourists is a visit to the Waterford crystal factory and Waterford city, a town founded by the vikings.

And of course there is Dublin city with all its historical landmarks , its great night life with wonderful theatres and the famous Irish pubs.
