*Full sized hurleys are about 3 feet long, made from the Ash tree, and used in Ireland's national game of Hurling (No, US surfers, not what you think!). Hurling - Iomaint in Irish - is one of the world's oldest and fastest field sports, played on a 140 - 160 yards long pitch, by 15 players a side. It's mentioned in the ancient sagas, going back to Cuchulainn's time, and is like a form of fast, furious yet skilful hockey, except you can briefly handle the ball, carry it on your stick, and hit it at any height or angle, and as hard as you like. The best games are played in summer when the land is dry, and it's worth seeing a match if you're ever in Ireland.*

If you're paying online by credit card, delivery to US is usually within 5-7 days. It may however take a day or two more, depending on what part of the States you're living, and on whether or not your order is received before 10AM Irish time (5AM EST) Saturday (Later Saturday and Sunday orders have to wait until Monday morning for the next mail collection). Delivery to Canada should also take 5-9 days, delivery to Europe 3-7 days, Britain 3-5 days and Ireland 1-4 days.
