Running a club of the size of Edenderry Town SFC, is a large task with over 30 adults and up to 400 children participating in the various club sections every year. Below is a brief detail on the structure and responsibilities of the Club. Many other people are involved in sub-groups such as maintenance, grounds keeping, kit management, finance, etc. which contribute to the success of the club.

 

Executive Committee:

The Executive Committee is the governing body of the club and is elected annually by the club members. The Executive Committee is comprised of a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer plus a number of additional members, all of whom are elected in accordance with the clubs constitution. The current committee elected for the 2005/2006 season at the AGM held in May of this year are as follows;

This committee generally meets every second Monday night during the season and is responsible for club finances, fund raising, teams, etc. All other sub-committees within the club are either represented on or responsible to the Executive.

 

Finance Sub-Committee:

The Finance sub-committee is primarily responsible for the clubs financial activities. Small units are assembled to direct and oversee the fundraising events, which include; the sponsored run, the annual race night and quiz nights.

 

Team Managers Sub-Committee:

This committee represents a platform for all team managers to have an input into the running of the club in particular the area of team development. The sub-committee generally meets two or three times a year and further meetings are organised at the direction of the Executive Committee. A number of team managers are represented on the Executive Committee.
