The aim of this website is to act as an introduction to teachers in ways to use e-learning and technology to help students who need support in the area of literacy reach their potential.

  • Take the Ogham deciphering activity to understand the difficulties some students have with decoding ‘letters’.  Walk a mile in the students’ shoes’.
  • Learn definitions of terms relating to learning difficulties then test yourself on your understanding of these terms in the Quiz.
  • Find out about Learning Styles. Check out your own Learning Style and those of your students – and take these into consideration when planning your lessons.
  • Look at different software titles and see which might be useful with your students.
  • Check out the various links eg www.dyslexia.ie
  • Find out what courses or seminars are on around the country. What’s on in your area? Link in with the Teacher Centres to find out what’s available.
