Vision and Values

The idea for this website came to me when studying for my Masters Degree
(M. Sc. Education and Training Management, DCU).

From reflecting on my practice and in collaboration with my colleagues in Learning Support and Special Needs teaching I realised that LS/SN can be a solitary occupation.

Identifying, locating and gathering the necessary resources to provide appropriate support can be a very time consuming affair and there is a need for a central hub for all the available resources.

My long term aspiration is to create a web of interactive communication between teachers; hosting an online community and providing support where it is needed.

This website is designed as a forum for helping and encouraging teachers and for the sharing of resources. Ultimately the aim is to support children who require extra support to access the curriculum.
