LocatioNet offers a suite of text based applications in SMS and WAP for Point of Interest (POI) and event searching, suitable for existing mass-market handsets. POI Finder is a classic Yellow Pages application, facilitating finding nearby points of interest, such as ATM machines, hotels, parking garages, restaurants movie theaters and more. The Event Finder easily locates nearby parties, concerts and exhibitions that take place at a desired place, date and time.

Key Features
The application with its SMS interface includes short codes for activating functions and responses in SMS text as well. This includes routing to the desired POI or Event and support for personalization/ preference settings. Most voice subscribers are potential target subscribers for these services, as different content has different relevance to teenagers, students, adult consumers, professionals and others. Used content can be specifically defined for the relevant service area and target subscribers.
Service is always based on a specific location, from which content is searched for. Locations may include:
• Users' current location, received from the LocatioNet platform via connected positioning systems. Current locations are user-definable
