Pistachio

Pistachio

Lentiscus is one of the most typical species of Mediterranean vegetation; it is widespread along all the coasts, especially rocky ones, apart from the coldest ones of high Adriatic. It is the peculiar plant of Mediterranean deforested coasts; the pure formations of Lentiscus, its other name, represent an aspect of degradation of ancient forests.
