Gortrua is a 100 acre organic farm situated on the banks of the Suir River deep in the heart of the Golden Vale of County Tipperary. This old fashioned farm has been in the same family since 1800 and has, luckily, escaped the destructive forces of so-called 'progressive farming'. The current generation have been farming organically for over twenty five years. Full of wild places the farm abounds in trees, grasses and wildflowers. Aberdeen Angus cattle, pony mares and their foals, keep the grasses mown and fresh. This is a place where you can relax and enjoy a genuine working farm.
