This Xylaria hypoxilon - Candle snuff fungus - was growing on a piece of buried wood. Sunny intervals. |
A late head of Shepherd's Purse - Capsella bursa-pastoris. |
And growing through the Shepherd's Purse, Common Mouse-ear - Cerastium fontanum. I'd normally expect the tips of the petals to be more deeply cut than these. |
This ungainly lump was growing at the base of a vertical ditch. I'm pretty sure it's the bulbils and emerging shoot of Lesser Celandine. Thanks to Gill for the correction. |
