A freezing trip to Drumboe.

Heavy rain/sleet showers.

Last year I found Cerodontha sylvatica - a leaf miner in Greater Woodrush. A search today in the same location uncovered 2 occupied mines, so it was successful last year. Pictures will be up tomorrow.

Whilst I was looking at Phytomyza illicis mines on Holly, I spotted these tiny flower buds.

There's a vertical earth bank that is good for fungi and mosses. This little (1cm.) member of the Polytrichum family has just produced these attractive antheridia - the male reproductive parts.
