Approach to deforestated area.

 

Dull and very wet.

 

The first Willow leaves have opened. There are no catkins on this specimen yet, so I'll plump for Eared Willow - Salix aurita - although the leaves are already quite large, so it might be a hybrid.

 

I was examining Pine needles looking for micromoth larvae and spotted what appears to be a fungal rust. Maybe Coleosporium tussilaginis.

And, of course, something else caught my eye: a minute spider spinning between Pine leaves.
