Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

 

Dull with heavy rain and hail showers.

 

The queen bumble bees are out looking for nesting sites. This was one was buzzing around under the plants. Bombus lucorum.

 

The other day I said I could find a dung-fly on a Dandelion every day. I've managed to go one better.

 

As I was driving back I spotted this cock Pheasant pecking around under a feeding trough.

 

The weather we're experiencing at the moment is most peculiar. Torrential showers of rain, hail, sleet or snow, followed by a completely cloudless blue sky.
