Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

Sunny and hot.

This is a better shot of Bombus terrestris, showing the beige tail of the nest-site-hunting queen.

(Just as I was getting to tell B. terrestris and B. lucorum apart, B. lucorum has been split into 3 species.)

The Greater Stitchwort is a full month later than last year.

Yellow Archangel is a common verge plant near houses.

And I thought this bunch of Primroses was worth showing.
