High Heath.

1 x Green Hairstreak, 4 x Orange Tip (m), 1 x Speckled Wood.

Dry but cool.

The Willow leaves are only just reaching full size and already the leaf beetles are queuing up for position. The specimen below shows both species of Willow beetle in the area: Phratora vitellinae - the Bronzy Willow Beetle (left) and Lochmaea capreae - the Willow Leaf Beetle (right).

This is a close up of a pair of Lochmaea capreae and their eggs.

These female flowers of the Eared Willow should be producing seeds soon.

A little (1cm.) Sawfly conveniently posed on the end of a broken rush.

My favourite stinging insect on Bilberry. We can't see the face properly, so 'Wasp' will have to do.
