This green Blowfly was very common along the path. Interestingly, they all turned to face my right as soon as they landed. They would have been facing west. |

The moment of abandonment? This young Blackbird is waiting for its mother to return (we saw her flying away), but although we kept a long-distance eye on it for quite a while, it just sat staring hopefully at every passing bird. |
