Drumboe.

 

Cloudy and hot, with bright periods.

Another leaf-eating Weevil. This one's on Birch.

And on the same Birch tree, a leaf miner. No id, yet.

    

This green Blowfly was very common along the path. Interestingly, they all turned to face my right as soon as they landed. They would have been facing west.

Another leaf-miner, this time on Willow. Notice the curled edge to the leaf. Looks like one of the Gracillariidae - a micromoth

 

 

The moment of abandonment? This young Blackbird is waiting for its mother to return (we saw her flying away), but although we kept a long-distance eye on it for quite a while, it just sat staring hopefully at every passing bird.
