A very mixed bag from the original Hedgerow, leg 2.

 

Overcast with occasional rain showers.

Two shots from the first (and I think only) specimen of Hogweed on the patch. A Ladybird larva on the left and the tiny (9mm) hoverfly Syritta pipiens.

    

There was a little burst of sunlight at one point and I took these opportunistic shots of Meadow Buttercup (left) and Meadow Vetchling (right).

    

Two butterflies. Meadow Brown (left) and a second-generation Speckled Wood (right).

     

Two micromoths. A Coleophora on its foodplant, Soft Rush. And Celypha lacunana on the right.
